Cory Richter
Cory Richter is General Supervisor of Highway Maintenance at Ramsey County. Previously, she was the GIS Coordinator for the City of Blaine. A graduate of Michigan State University, she began working as a geotechnical technician for Golder Associates in 2000. She took her experience in the field and laboratory and continued her education at Saint Paul College in the Geomatics & Mapping Sciences program. Her current work focuses on GIS services and application development, Open Source application maintenance and development, and data management. She has presented at local and national conferences on Open Source technologies and integration with commercial software. She is a member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee, the MetroGIS Address Workgroup, and Infragard. Her main area of interest is emergency response and how GIS aids first responders in the field.
