Aerial Photography - Other Federal
National Archives
The National Archives and Records Administration houses historical federal aerial photography collected from the
late-1930s to the mid-1950s by several agencies. The most comprehensive
collection is the county-based imagery from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Begin searching for
information by using the
Archival
Research Catalog (ARC). ARC is an online source for searching a wide range of NARA's holdings.
NASA
In addition to current National Aeronautics and Space Administration efforts to collect remotely sensed data
via satellites, in the 1970s and 1980s, NASA collected photography imagery
with high altitude aircraft (small scale), largely in western Minnesota.
