Meanders -  Some plats include tables of stream and/or lake meanders, located in the margins or on the back of the plats.  This example gives posts, courses, and distances (in chains and links) of segments of the meander line.

Dates Surveyed  – This table is located at the bottom of each plat.  It gives the lines surveyed, the deputy surveyors who executed each survey, dates of the contract, when each area was surveyed, and total number of acres of the township.

Official Approval of the Plat  – Contains the signature of the surveyor general, and date of official approval.   It is located at the bottom of each plat.
